Hello and welcome to my site! Here, I share my passions, my love for the ocean and travelling.
Growing up in China, I spent almost every warm days in the swimming pool, surrounded by families and friends, and we would do road trips to nearby beaches every holiday. I didn’t really develop my love for the ocean until late middle school, but then, from there just took off, that’s all I want to do, just be at the beach:)
I didn’t really start travelling by myself until I was 16, when I decided to study in the U.K.. I’m curious, constantly curious and seeking for things which excite me. Flying to America during an Easter break was one of the best ‘incidents’ I made – in California I really got into chasing sunshine and surfing!! Surfing has affected many biggest things in my life, one of them is having the crave for moving to Australia, which… obviously turned out just right. I’m passionate about people and life in general, perhaps that’s why one day, there was a click in my head that told me to pursue Anthropology and cultural studies in university.
When I’m not travelling, I’m living between Melbourne and Guangzhou and when I’m not studying, I’m thinking about next travel destinations. I’m SO FORTUNATE to be able to see different places in the world, meeting new people. Making good friends with like minds while travelling is something I will always cherish and be grateful for. Travelling has allowed me to explore and experience different cultures and parts of the world I’d never imagined to see. In Pico Iyer’s article ‘Why We Travel’, he says that ‘traveling, we are born again, and able to return at moments to a younger and a more open kind of self’ and I could not agree more. Each experience has sculptured me in the way I never expected. I’m still looking for who I’m and each day I find out new things about myself, and that’s what motivates me. It’s truly been such an amazing journey and I can’t wait to see where I go next!
My blogs will focus on the beautiful beautiful big island, Hawai‘i!! Hawai‘i is located in the north pacific ocean and It is the most recent state to have joined the United States. It has 137 islands in total, the 8 main islands are Hawai‘i, Maui, O’ahu, Kaua’i, Moloka’i, Lāna’i, Ni’ihau and Kaho’olawe. What stoke me the most is its beaches, ocean, natural beauty with rich culture, pretty much just everything. I hope you to join my sunkissed adventures and be inspired to enjoy and live life to the fullest!! LET’S GO EXPLORE! ☀
